A patient with primary adrenal failure who is experiencing signs of adrenal crisis

Conditions of this directive?

A

Paramedics are presented with a vial of hydrocortisone for the identified patient!!!!

AND: one or more of the following

  • age related hypoglycemia
  • GI symptoms (vommiting, diarrhea, abdo pain)
  • syncope
  • temp >= 38 degrees or suspected fever
  • altered LOA
  • age related tachycardia
  • age related hypotension

A

A
