Identity Moratorium Adolescents
Those who consider issues but have not made any commitment on any important issues facing them
Try to compromise between society parents and own ability
Identity Forclosure Adolescents
Individual who has made a commitment about issues based on the suggestions of others, not their own choice
Individual becomes what others prepared them for since childhood
These individuals find it difficult to change beliefs
Identity confused or diffused adolescents
Individual has no sense of identity has not given thought to making decisions about career, does not worry them
Directionless
Identity achievement adolescents
Individuals who have considered various options and committed themselves
Make decisions on own terms
Flexible not fazed by challenges

Emphasis on interaction with others
Individuals observe and model behavior and emotional reactions on what they see around them, especially those they admire
Early and Middle Adulthood (20-65)
Early adulthood is often centered around careers
Midlife transition occurs in a person’s 40’s when one may question his/her life and accomplishments (mainly due to physical changes and the idea that their life will end sometime)
Menopause
Time of natural cessation of menstruation. Biological changes a woman experiences as her ability to reproduce declines in the late 40s and 50s.
Rate of married women with schoolchildren who work outside the home and then come home to do housework (second shift)
