Ratee Responsibilities are?
Meet with rater within 30 days
Initiate discussion of duties and objectives
Assess and update objectives, goals, and expectations, seeking guidance when needed
Verify all administrative data is correct
Rater Qualifications are?
Immediate supervisor
Rater Responsibilities are?
Provide rater and senior rater support forms
Discuss job description and performance objectives with the ratee within 30 days
Counsel quarterly throughout rating period
Assess the performance of the ratee
Verify height/weight and ACFT data
Intermediate Rater Qualifications are?
Between rater / senior rater
Intermediate Rater Responsibilities are?
Familiar with ratee’s performance
Provide input on DA Form 67-10-1A
Provide objective, comprehensive evaluation of performance and potential
Senior Rater Qualifications are?
Senior to rater and intermediate rater
Senior Rater Responsibilities are?
Ensure support form is distributed
Ensure rater counsels ratee
Review support form
Evaluate ratee’s potential relative to peers
Conducts final review of report and obtains ratee’s signature
Refer reports as required
Submits report to HQDA in a timely and accurate manner
Minimum Rating Period is?
90 days for Active Duty
120 days for Reserve Component*
Nonrated Code E is?
Leave in excess of 30 days
Nonrated Code G is?
Healing with duty (WTU)
Nonrated Code H is?
Healing (WTU)
Nonrated Code I is?
In-transit between duty stations, including leave, Permissive Temporary Duty (PTDY), and Temporary Duty (TDY)
Nonrated Code P is?
Patient (including convalescent leave)
Nonrated Code Q is?
Lack of rater qualification
Nonrated Code S is?
Student at military or civilian school
Nonrated Code T is?
On TDY, Special Duty (SD), Temporary Change of Station (TCS) less than 90 calendar days
There are two separate evaluation reports based on grade:
DA Form 67-10-1: Company Grade (2LT-CPT & WO1-CW2)
DA Form 67-10-2: Field Grade (MAJ-LTC & CW3-CW5)
DA Form 67-10-1A is?
Performance based counseling tool
Ties performance objectives to measureable accomplishments
DA Form 67-10-1 is?
Includes Rater’s comments pertaining to ACFT
Includes performance block checks and the Rater’s overall performance assessment
DA Form 67-10-2 is?
Raters comment on possible broadening and operational assignments
Attribute of Character is highlighted on the Field Grade Form
Rater Box Check - Excel
Results far surpass expectations
Rater Box Check - Proficient
Consistently produces quality results with measurable improvement in unit performance
Rater Box Check - Capable
Meets requirements of position and additional duties
Senior Rater Box Check applies to?
both Company Grade and Field Grade forms
Four boxes:
MOST QUALIFIED: Strong potential for Below Zone (BZ) and command; potential ahead of peers
HIGHLY QUALIFIED: Strong potential for promotion with peers
QUALIFIED: Capable of success at the next level; promote if able
NOT QUALIFIED: Not recommended for promotion
There are three separate evaluation reports aligned with Army Leadership Doctrine (ADP 6-22):
DA Form 2166-9-1: SGT/SGT(P) (Direct)
DA Form 2166-9-2: SSG-1SG/MSG (Organizational)
DA Form 2166-9-3: CSM/SGM (Strategic)
Writing Bullet Comments for evaluations do?
Select an accomplishment to address
Write down “What” the NCO accomplished first
Add “How” the NCO accomplished the task
Refine with additional information or adjectives to enhance the bullet comment
The rater tendency label depicts the rater’s overall rating?
