Substance Use Disorder
cognitive, behavioral and physical symptoms show that the individual continues to use the substance despite having substance-related problems. Such as; alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, and hallucinogens.
Alcohol Use Disorder
A problematic pattern of alcohol use that causes impairment or distress. Taking larger amounts, higher tolerance, craving or strong desire, failure to fulfill obligations at work, home, or school.
Signs of Alcohol Use
Slurred speech, odor of alcohol on breath, unsteady gait, coordination problems, staggering
Alcohol Withdrawal
Seizures, tremors, delirium, death
Signs of Cocaine Use
Talkative, pale, hyperactive, thin, loss of appetite
Cocaine Withdrawl
Depression, vomiting, fatigue
Signs of Heroin Use
Drowsiness, euphoria, slow breathing
Heroin Withdrawal
Bone pain, anxiety, muscle spasms, restlessness
Signs of Hallucinogen Use
Hallucinations, confusion, anxiety, suspicion
Hallucinogen Withdrawal
Non-existent with hallucinogens
I.E. LSD, Ecstasy
