Give examples of an adaptation for a cactus
Widespread roots
Stem is thick so can store water
The spines of the cactus reduce surface area and so also water loss
The spines protect the cactus from animals that may eat it
Adaptations of a camel
A camel has long eyelashes and a closing and opening nose to keep sand out.
They camouflage with the colour of sand
Big fat store in hump to give them energy
Wide feet to easily walk on soft sand
Thick lips to eat prickly plants without pain
