A

Abnormal dilatation of distal bronchi

May be exacerbated by infection

  • CF

Management of bronchiectasis

A
  • Mucolytics (make mucus less thick and sticky)
  • Prolonged antibiotics 10-14 days
  • Vaccines (flu + pneumococcal)
  • Consider prophylactic Abx- AZYTHROMCYIN
