How do you diagnose appendicitis? What Ix? What Rx?
A
Clinically, if unsure -> observe for 4 hours then imaging.
Ix CBE EUX LFT CRP - leukocytosis SNOUT B-HCG CT ABDO PELVIC US
Rx
Laparoscopic APPENDICECTOMY
If abscess, triple ABx and bowel rest. Then APPENDICECTOMY 6-12 weeks
