doesnt always work that bottom levels need to be reached berfore higher ones.
describe existence, relatedness and growth theory
needs are grouped into 3 categories: existence (food, water, shelter), relatedness and grwoth.
don’t need to satisfy them in a particular order
describe opponent processes, motivation and emotion
reaction to a stimulus is followed by an opposite reaction (opponent process)
after repeated exposure to stimulus, inital reaction weakens, opponent process becomes stronger.
