based on bodyweight
≤ 75kg 2 tablets man, 1 tablet midi and nocte
≥ 75kg 2 tablets TDS

NMDA receptor antagonist and GABA-a receptor modulator

Benefits?
A
May improve alcohol abstinence rates

Time to peak efficacy?
A
1 - 2 weeks and can slowly decline also

Contraindications?
A
significantly impaired liver or renal function

Common side effects?
A
initially but transient diarrhoea, abdominal pain, rash, nausea and vomiting
