Q

How do you determine initial station passage for an NDB? A VOR? A TACAN?

Q

How do you maintain course using an NDB as a navigational aid?

A

Basically apply only RMI procedures. Fly a heading estimated to keep the aircraft on the selected course. If the bearing pointer indicates a deviation, return to the course avoiding excessive intercept angles. Once returning to course, re-estimate the drift correction to keep the bearing pointer centered on the desired course.
