what is the due process model
A
- focuses on the presumption of innocence and producing fairness.
- believes police should be limited to stop oppression
- slows down the process
- easier sentences
- criminal justice system should safeguard the rights of individuals
- ensures the correct verdict will be reached

- opposite of the due process model
- has a zero tolerance protocol
- presumption of guilt
- enhanced police powers
- protects the rights of victims rather than offender
- quick and efficient approach
- similar to right realism
- case which used this approach Colin Stagg- they wanted to secure an conviction as quickly and with any means possible
