Adaptations of the Small Intestine

A
  1. Very Long and gives time for food to be absorbed
  2. It has villi which give the small intestine a large surface area. The Larger the area the faster food can be absorbed
  3. Villi cantain blood capillaries so digested food passes into the blod
  4. Villi have walls only one cell think so the digested food can easily pass
