How does the structure of villus help with absorption
A
- Surface area for absorption
- Diffusion Occurs fast
- Concentration gradient maintained by blood flow
- Lacteal collect the lipids before it goes to the circulatory system

Adaptations of the Small Intestine
A
- Very Long and gives time for food to be absorbed
- It has villi which give the small intestine a large surface area. The Larger the area the faster food can be absorbed
- Villi cantain blood capillaries so digested food passes into the blod
- Villi have walls only one cell think so the digested food can easily pass
