• Traditionally, women are recognized for their importance in bearing life.
• Aboriginal women had power in their societies, in some clans, they were respected more than the chief, or at least equally
• As Europeans pushed their way further and further into aboriginal society, women became less and less equal to men. Their responsibilities were shed from them.

What was one of the many ways that European Colonists used the aboriginal men?

Answer 2

they essentially used them to do their dirty work. The aboriginal men were used in the armies of the europeans for the many wars that they had fought.
- The colonists sacrificed the aboriginals for their victory in these wars.
