What are the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for a Substance Use Disorder?
Two or more of the following:
- Failiure to meet obligations
- Repeated use of the substance in dangerous situations
- Repeated relationship problems as a result of substance use
- Continued use in spite of problems
- Tolerance
- With-drawl
- Substance use exceeds intended amount or time frame
- Efforts to reduce or control use are ineffective
- Spent a disproportionate amount of time trying to obtain substance
- Impairment in functioning
