POT for Ji
Early: Remove Xie Qi
Mid: remove xie Qi and tonify Zheng Qi
Late: Tonify Zheng Qi
Basic POT
JU—> soothe liver, regulate Qi, promote BM
JI—> Remove blood stagnation (early,mid,late)
- must determine what stage*
Late stage patient too weak to remove stagnation and surgery required so only tonify patient first
Differentiation JI
Early—> small, soft, Zheng Qi not damaged (excess)
Mid—> Harder, Zheng Qi slightly damaged
(Mixed pattern of excess and deficiency)
Late—> large, hardest, Zheng damaged
( Deficency)
