Presentation

  • Midline above the umbilicus in the linea alba
  • Most common men 20-50
  • Usually asymptomatic but can cause pain
  • Bulges on straining

Management

  • Surgical repair essential
  • Obese patients need USS or CT
  • Differentiate from diastasis recti
