What are line managers?

A

The person who is your immediate supervisor and can give you guidance and feedback on your performance and must follow instructions given by them. They can address you on your performance such as a warning.

What are external inspections?

A

CQC and Ofsted. They inspect the service and publish a report online. Judge quality and safety of the service.

What is service user feedback?

A

A service user’s opinion on the care that they have received and this is important in a way of monitoring as they let professionals know where to improve.

What is whistleblowing?

A

It refers to when someone within the organisation raises concerns about the organisation’s conduct, or the provision of low-quality care. Whistleblowing can be done anonymously, and you are legally protected from the effects of retaliation by the organisation against you.
