A
- researcher might take a lump of clay
- divides it into 2 equal pieces
- gives child a choice between the 2 pieces to play with
- one piece is rolled into a compact ball, other is smashed into flat pancake shape
- child will likely choose the flat one because it LOOKS bigger, even though they are both the same size (CONSERVATION)
