A

Model assumes that cognitions direct behaviour. Therefore, mental illness is the result of inappropriate or disordered thinking

The focus isn’t on the problem itself but the way the person thinks about it

A

A =activating agent (seeing a large dog)

B= the irrational or rational belief (dog is harmless, dog is harmful)

C=consequence. Rational beliefs lead ti healthy emotions (amusement ir indifference), whereas irrational beliefs lead to unhealthy emotions (fear and panic)
