What are the first 6 Cranial nerves?
I : Olfactory: (sensory) (Smell)
II. Optic (Sensory) (Vision)
III. Oculomoter (Mostly motor) (Eye Movement)
IV. Trochlear (M.M.) (Eye movement & Prop)
V. Trigeminal ((Mixed) Sensation of head & face, chewing & proprioception (dentist nerve)
VI. Abducens (M.M.)(Abducts Eye & Prop.)
What are Cranial nerves 7-12?
VII. Facial (Mixed) Taste buds (anterior tongue), facial expressions, secretion of saliva & tears *movement of face.
VIII: Vestibularcochular (sensory) Balance/Equilibrium & hearing.
IX. Glossopharyngeal: (mixed) Somatic sensation taste Posterior tongue sensation (touch, pain & Temp)
-Visceral sensation: Monitors blood pressure O2/CO2 in blood for regulating breathing rate and depth.: Somatic: musles of swallowing and speech.
Visceral: stimulates saliva secretion.
X. Vagus (mixed)Parasympathetic, Goes to ALL organs except Adrenal glands.
XI.. Accessory Nerve (Motor to Trapezius & SCM)
XII. Hypoglossal (mostly motor) Propriocetion for tongue for speech and swallowing.
