Any involvement in aviation.

Several major accidents in the 80’s and 90’s.
Traditionally what does human factors deal with?
Interaction between man, machine and his environment.
What does Human factors mean according to EASA Part 145.A.30(e)?
Principles which apply to aeronautical designs, certification, training, operations and maintenance.

What does the study of human factors include?
Psychology, Science and Engineering.
What is clinical psychology?
Dealing with stress, coping mechanisms, poor self image and accepting criticism.
What is experimental physchology?
Study of behaviours such as learning, sensation, performance, motivation etc?
What is antropometrics?
Study of dimensions and abilities of the body.
When in practice what would computer science be?
Work stations that are comfortable and reliable, and the systems easy to use.
What is cognitive science?
Study of minds as information processors.
What is organisational phsychology?
The study of the structure and how it effects workers productivity and job satisfaction. I.e. rewards.
What is industrial engineering?
The organised approach to the study of work and the importance of supervisors setting standards that can be met and exceeded.
What is murphy’s law?
‘If something can go wrong it will go wrong’.
What is the result of more people being aware of murphy’s law?
That the ‘it will never happen to me’ attitude will become less common place.
