Why do you feel light in water?
A
This is because there is a force from the water called upthrust, this pushes up against the weight. There is always upthrust on an object in a fluid, even if the upthrust is not large enough to make the object float.

How can you work out if something floats in a fluid?
A
You can workout if something floats in a fluid if you know its density and the density of the fluid. Objects that float, the greater their density, the more the object is underwater.
