86WG SI(OPS) 03-156 DLRO Flashcards
Maximum diversion distance of 1200nm is calculated under assumptions for wind, conditions, time, OEI diversion cruise speed, reference gross weight and optimum diversion altitude. State these assumptions
Nil wind
ISA
Within max diversion time 180mins
OEI diversion cruise speed 310kts
Reference gross weight 210000kg
Optimum diversion altitude FL170
When is contingency fuel required during ETOPS?
When FOB is less than the CFR thus requiring carriage of additional fuel. All stated on CFP.
State Latitude restrictions on KC30 operations (polar ops)
Not permitted to operate north of 78 degrees north latitude or south of 60 degrees south latitude
State the electrical systems limitations for ETOPS compliance for AAR TKR and ALS
AAR TKR: APU GEN shall be serviceable.
ALS: if an electrical power source (IDG1 or 2, APU GEN or EMER GEN) is unserviceable, the ARO console should be depowered.
Prior to missions containing ETOPS segments, crews shall
- ensure selected ETOPS adequate airfields meet ETOPS planning weather minima during the required validity period
- determine the position of each ETP
- determine the ETOPS CFRs
ETOPS dispatch weather minima
Shall be met from 1 hour prior to ETA until 1 hour after ETA, as listed on CFP
Precision approach:
- DH/DA + 200ft
- vis + 800m
Non-precision approach:
- MDA/MDH + 400ft
- vis + 1500m
