When is a destination considered an isolated airfield?

A
  • if the fuel required (alternate + FFR) to the nearest destination alternate airfield is more than two hours at normal cruise consumption
  • if forecast weather conditions at the isolated airfield are at or above alternate weather minimum from 30 mins before ETA to 2 hours after ETA. Inter and tempo deteriorations do not need to be considered.
