Cells produced in stratum basale migrate upwards
Keratin is synthesised and accumulated

hair matrix, cortex, cuticle
sebaceous glands
secrete sebum (oil) into the hair follicles where the hair shafts pass through the dermis
sudoriferous glands
eccrine and apocrine

glands that produce sweat; found over most of the body
apocrine glands
Sweat glands in the pubic and underarm areas that secrete thicker sweat, that produce odor when come in contact with bacteria on the skin
nail structure

- There is connective tissue, if this muscle tissue is torn it will cause it to bleed.
- Fibroblasts assist nails for regrowth, calcium can deposit in nails under certain circumstances.
