Q

How does the Altimeter work?

A

There is an Android wafer inside of the instrument that has a steady pressure of 29.92. based on the pressure outside coming in from the pito static tube it expands or shrinks the wafer giving you your altimeter reading. Lower pressure expands the wafer increasing your altitude. Higher pressure makes the Android wafer contract decreasing altitude.

Q

How does the vertical speed indicator work?

A

There is a calibrated leak that holds air for a couple seconds and a static port that gives immediate pressure. The difference between the calibrated leak and the immediate pressure makes the knobs go higher or lower. The higher the difference the higher the rate of climb is.

Q

How does the airspeed indicator work?

A

The airspeed indicator takes in dynamic air and static air. The static air comes from the static port and the dynamic air comes from the Peter tube. The diaphragm expands and contracts based on the static and dynamic pressure. The higher the dynamic pressure, the faster the speed and it expands. The slower, the dynamic pressure, the slower, the speed and it contracts.

Q

How do gyroscopic instruments work?

A

They are vacuum driven and electriclly. They were based in rigidity in space and procession. They spin by the air from a vacuum pressured and engine.
