A
If DC Master switch is OFF or DC power is unavailable to left DC bus

What does a blown out yellow disc indicate?
A
Deliberate discharge of the bottle for normal system operation

What does a blown out red disc indicate?
A
The associated extinguisher bottle contents have been discharged due to excessive thermal expansion pressure

How are the engine fire extinguishers discharged?
A
An explosive cartridge (squib) punctures a metal seal on end of bottle and releases entire contents in one blast. The squib is electrically activated from the cockpit by pulling a FIRE PULL handle
