2. Electrical Flashcards
How many Amps are the starter generators?
200A
How is the battery connected to the main DC buses?
Connected to the left dc bus (both when bus tie is in normal position)
What does the DC Voltmeter indicate?
Voltage present on left DC bus
What does the DC loadmeter indicate?
Displays load on either left generator, right generator or battery.
What is the function of the reverse current circuit breaker (RCCB)? Where is it located?
Disconnecting the main battery from the left DC bus if the sustained charging current ever exceeds 450 amps.
Located in the main cabin roof.
How are the inverters powered?
NO 1 inverter receives DC power from the left DC bus, and NO 2 inverter receives power from the right DC bus.
What is powered by the 115V AC BUS? (FAH)
- Fuel Quantity Gauges
- Attitude Indicator
- HSI
What is powered by the 26V AC BUS? (TOF)
- Torque Gauges
- Oil Pressure Gauges
- Fuel Flow Gauges
How are the generators brought online?
By pushing the GENERATOR switch from the OFF position momentarily forward to the RESET position
What should be done if a significant electrical load is anticipated when the generators will be brought online?
Increase Ng to Idle Ng +15%
For any abnormality, what is the maximum reset attempts for either generator?
2
What are the dry motoring/ abnormal operation starter limitations?
25 seconds ON, 60 seconds OFF
25 seconds ON, 60 seconds OFF
25 seconds ON, 30 minutes OFF
(These limits do not apply to normal starts)
How is the battery charged under normal conditions?
From either generator.
Where is the main battery located?
Beneath the aft baggage compartment floor.
For ground ops above 7deg C, the Gen loadmeter reading should be?
0.8 or less
