Bell cutout switch
cuts of: master fire warn, fire bell, remote APU fire warning horn (only on GND), resets system for more fire detections

APU fire switch
- pull
- HORN
Pull
- arms APU extinguisher circuit, the squib
- closes fuel shutoff valve, APU bleed air valve, APU inlet door
- trips generator control relay + breaker
- provides back up for auto shutdown
Horn sounds on GND only, only for APU fire
ENG fire switch
- puil
Pull
- arms discharge on each fire extinguisher
- disable thrust reverser
- closes fuel (SU+spar), hydraulic shutoff, ENG bleed air valves closes
- trips generator control relay + breaker
- deactivates ENG driven hydraulic pump βLOW PRESSUREβ light
π§ L/R BOTTLE DISCHARGE
bottle discharged OR low pressure
π§ DETECTOR FAULT
ONE or MORE of selected loops in either cargo bay failed
CARGO FIRE DISCHARGE SWITCH
- when armed
1st discharge when pushed, 2nd bottle will automatically discharge with a timer set for 60min [if still armed]
Inhibits seconds discharge upon landing
APU BOTTLE DISCHARGE SWITCH [in main gear well]
-when armed:
- pulled down gives:
HORN CUTOUT PUSH
Armed when APU fire control handle is pulled
Pulled gives
- closes apu fuel shutoff, bleed air valve and APU inlet door
- arms APU bottle DISCHARGE
- trips generator control relay and breaker
PUSH - makes light from blinking to steady
Lavatory extinguisher
- temp indicator placard
white - normal temp
black - high temp
ENG FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM
- loops
- rotating ENG FIRE SWITCH
- ENG OVHT/DET powered
- ENG FIRE EXTINGUISHER powered
L - 2 in each engine, each overheat and fire detection
R - electrically fires a squib
E - powered by BATT BUS
E - powered by HOT BATT BUS
APU FIRE DETECTION
- APU FIRE detection powered

MAIN WHEEL WELL

F - powered by AC transfer bus 2 and BATT bus
S - as temp increases to predetermined limit, detector senses fire condition. π WHEEL WELL light illuminates until temperature below predetermined temp
CARGO COMPARTMENT FIRE PROTECTION/DETECTION

C - powered by DC BUS 1 AND DC BUS 2
C - powered by HOT BATT BUS
L - DUAL loop through both compartments. In normal: both loops must indicate smoke, power failure/detector failure: one loop indicate smoke.
F - 2 fire extinguisher bottles installed in air conditioning mix bay on forward wing spar.
C - DISCH light may take 30 sec to illuminate. When cargo fire DISC pushed: aircraft has total time of 195 minutes to suppress the fire (180min to airport, 15min of GA)
LAVATORY FIRE PROTECTION AND SMOKE DETECTION
- Detection

D - detection system monitors for presence of smoke, when detected:
- aural warning sounds
- status indicator light on lavatory smoke detection panel illuminates π§.
- π§ lavatory SMOKE light on FWD overhead panel
R - automatical reset when smoke is gone
E - operates automatically [beneath sink area in each lavatory].
F - flight deck has no indication of discharge
