767 Fuel System Flashcards
What are the fuel pump pressures?
Center tank pumps 35psi, Main tank pumps 15psi.
What does the PRESS lights mean?
Pump output pressure is low.
What does the CROSSFEED VALVE light indicate?
Crossfeed valve is not in the commanded position.
Can you crossfeed fuel from tank to tank?
No, only from tank to engine. “If it is low make it glow” On the low tank group turn the respective fuel pumps off.
What does the FUEL CONFIG light mean?
- Low fuel quantity (2,200 lbs) with EICAS msg LOW FUEL
- L&R tank fuel imbalance. (2,000 +/- 500 lbs.)
- Center tank fuel pumps off with fuel in the center tanks. (greater than1,200 lbs)
What powers the Fwd/Aft fuel pumps?
L/R AC is crossed so a failure of one system does not involve the loss of both systems.
Max fuel tank temperature?
49 degrees C
Min fuel tank temperature?
3 degrees c above the freeze point being used.
Where is the fuel tank temperature probe located?
Left fuel tank because it only has one hydraulic heat exchanger, as opposed to the right side which has two exchangers.
How much fuel may the center tank contain with less than full main tanks?
22,050 lbs. of fuel with less than full main tanks provided center tank fuel weight + AZFW does not exceed MZFW and CG is within limits.
When are the center tank fuel pumps pressure lights inhibited?
- inhibited with pump switches off
- inhibited with engine N2 less than 50%
When is the inhibit removed?
Lights illuminate with output pressure low or no fuel remaining with pumps switch on. Also, when the fueling door is open. Lights are on with fueling door open on the ground.
When are the center fuel pumps inhibited?
They are load shed prior to engine spooling to 50%
