What is the rich position on the fuel control switch for ?
This position is used for fuel enrichment during cold engine starts, when the EGT temperature indicates 0 degrees or less. After engine start, the pilots place the switch to run. Once the engine reaches idle, fuel flow is unaffected by switch position. RICH adds 100 PPH fuel flow for start
What is the purpose of the engine limiter switches ?
The purpose of the engine limiters is to prevent N1, or fan overspeed.
When selecting Climb 2 on the TMSP panel on the ground when do we select Climb 1 and then CLB on the climb out ?
Takeoff weight less than 210,000lbs initial CLB2 stepping to CLB1 at climb less than 1000ft/min then stepping to CLB as less than 1000ft/min
During engine start what do you want to see on the engine page before going to RUN on the fuel control switch ?
EGT below 100 Celsius
N2 10%
N3 25%
If there is a APU fire what will the fire protection do ?
