Engine limit or surge or stall
Autothrottle - disengage
Trust lever - confirm - retard until indications within limits or idle
Loss of trust on both engines
Engine start switches (both) - FLT
engine start levers (both) - cutoff
When EGT decreases:
Engine start levers (both) - IDLE detent
If EGT reaches 950c or there is no increase in EGT within 30 sec:
Engine start lever (affected side) - confirm - CUTOFF than IDLE
** repeat as needed
Engine fire or severe damage or separation
Autothrottle - disengage
Trust lever - affected engine: confirm - close
Engine start lever - affected engine: confirm - CUTOFF
Engine fire switch - affected engine: confirm - pull
If engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated: rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second. If after 30 sec light stays illuminated rotate to other stop and hold for 1 sec
Airspeed unreliable
Autopilot (if engage)- disengage Autothrottle (if engage)- disengage F/D switches (both) - OFF set the following gear up pitch attitude and trust: Flaps extended - 10 and 80% N1 Flaps up - 4 and 75% N1
APU fire
APU fire switch - confirm - pull, rotate to stop and hold for 1 sec
APU switch - off
Engine overheat
Autothrottle - disengage
Trust lever - affected engine: confirm - close
If ENG OVERHEATS stays illuminated go to engine fire checklist
Cabin altitude warning
Or
Rapid depressurization
Don oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%
Establish crew communications
Pressurization mode selector - MAN
Outflow valve switch - hold in close until indication shows fully closed.
If cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
Passengers sign - on
PASS OXYGEN switch - on
** go to emergency descent checklist on page 0.1
Emergency descent
Announce the emergency descent
Passengers sign - on
Without delay descent to the highest of: lowest MEA or 10,000 ft
ENGINE START switches (both) - CONT
Thrust levers (both) - reduce to minimum or as required for anti-ice
Speedbrake - flight detent
Set target speed to - MMO/VMO ** if structural integrity not in doubt

Runaway stabilizer
Control column - hold firmly
Autopilot (if engaged)- disengage
** do not re engage auto pilot. Control airplane pitch attitude manually with control column or electric trim as needed**
Autothrottle (if engaged)- disengage
** do not re engage the a/t.
If runaway stops after autopilot disengage -
checklist complete.
If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both)- cutout
If runaway continues:
Stabilizer trim wheel - grasp and hold
Takeoff or landing configuration
Assure the airplane in the correct configuration
Waning horn (instrument) or Warning light - cabin altitude or Takeoff configuration
If intermittent warning horn sounds or CABIN ALTITUDES light (if installed) illuminates in flight above 10,000 ft:
Don the oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%
Establish crew communications
** go to CABIN ALTITUDE or rapid depressurization checklist
If happens on the ground when advancing takeoff thrust:
Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
not a memory item
Evacuation
PARKING BRAKE. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Set
Speedbrake lever . . . . . . . . . . . . DOWN
FLAP lever . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 40
Aborted engine start
Engine start lever - cutoff
Elevator Tab Limit Cycle
Oscillation
- Airspeed . . . . . . . . . Reduce to 270 KIAS or until the vibration ceases, whichever is lower
- Do not use speedbrakes or change aircraft configuration to reduce airspeed.
