What is interdependence of life?
Different types of organisms need each other to stay alive

The number of animals or plants that live in an area

An organism that creates its own food

An organism that get its energy by eating plants or animals
e.g. herbivore, carnivore
What is a scavenger and what is an example of it?
An organism that only eats animals that are already dead
e.g. hyena, turkey vulture

Animals that are killed and eaten by other animals
e.g. deer
What is a predator and what is an example of it?
Animals that kill and eat other animals

What are do diseases and parasites affect?
Affect population numbers in ecosystem
How do diseases and parasites spread?
Spread quickly when populations get big and organisms live close together
