RADIO ALTIMETER
INTERFERENCE DUE TO 5G OPERATIONS
Operational
Recommendations:
Below 2500 ft AGL, Radio altimeter values should be monitored with reference to the Barometric altitude. Any abnormal deviation may indicate Radio Altimeter Interference and PM to pay specific emphasis to RADALT indications. In case of any abnormality noted, attention of PF to be drawn immediately. In such a case:
- Disconnect AP and FD, and continue the approach using raw data or external visual references.
- Else, discontinue the approach, and attempt a second approach without AP/FD.
