69A: FLARE & LANDING ON A321 NEOs Flashcards
Specifically, the two important effects on the pitch control which are not anymore compensated by the A321 NEO Flare law and must be compensated by the pilot manually are:
- Ground Effect.
- Thrust Variations.
In every flare in A321NEO, due to ground effect and thrust reduction, the aircraft has an additional tendency to ___ which needs to be compensated for by the pilot. This translates to an anticipation of a larger stick movement requirement (as compared to an A 320) to achieve the flare resulting in desired pitch attitude change.
pitch nose down
The pitch attitude in stabilised approach is lower in A321 typically approximately ___ in Config full and 3 respectively (vs ___ respectively on A 320). The pilot visual perception to start the Flare may be affected by this different perspective.
