A
  • Do not operate machinery unless trained
  • PPE must be worn when using machinery
  • Guards used on machines
  • Damaged machinery to be removed
  • Work areas kept.clean and free of hazards
  • Walkways kept clear and no trip hazards
  • Accidents to be reported and recorded
  • To be aware of emergency procedures eg fire evacuation points

Before manufacture activity can take place the employer must carry out a risk assessment. Records must be kept in establishments with 5 or more employees.
