Q

Write a paragraph about the process of photosynthesis, including three important facts. You may tell about the things that are necessary for photosynthesis to occur, the purpose of photosynthesis, and the products that result because of photosynthesis. Use complete sentences.

A

In good sentences: (1) purpose–to make food; (2) importance–only green plants make food; (3) necessary “ingredients”–light, water, air; (4) takes place in the leaves; (5) products–oxygen, glucose.

30
Q

Explain the difference between a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse.

A

A solar eclipse takes place when the moon blocks the sun from our view. A lunar eclipse takes place when the moon passes directly behind the earth: the earth briefly blocks sunlight from the moon, causing the moon to appear darkened.
