An organism that produces its own food, plants

The organism at the top of a food chain
Define a trophic level.
The level at which an organism feeds within a food chain
Define decomposer.
A microorganism that breaks down organic matter releasing nutrient back into the environment
What is an ecosystem?
All the organisms living in a certain area and all the non living conditions found there
Why is an ecosystem dynamic?
The conditions are constantly changing
What are the 2 types of factors affecting an ecosystem?
Biotic factors and abiotic factors
What is a biotic factor?
Something in an ecosystem that is caused by the interaction between living organisms
What is an abiotic factor?
A non living factor in a ecosystem that affects the organisms
