Q

Give examples of latent/observatory learning?

A

Orientation flights - learning the location of the hive. Another would be workers having to observe a dance to learn how to dance themesvles

Q

How is the waggle dance associated with learning?

A

Dong et al., (20203) found that bees without the opportunity to follow any dances before their first dance had more disorder and more waggle divergence and wrong encoded distance

Q

How are oreitnation flights an example of learning?

A

Exploration is fundamental form of learning. These behaviours suggest formation of a memory that stores the realtions of environmental features to effective homing. They poses cognitive maps which are systems for coding space by using realtional information to link parts of the environment together.
