What is necessary for a neuropsychological examination to be effective ?
A
- eliciting the desire for information
- not raising the level of stress - patients should be less stressed when leaving

What are the reasons why aNP examination takes place ?
A
- usually a referral, sometimes the person themselves
- Observed cognitive or behavioral problems that may be linked to brain impairment
- additional questions may appear in the course of the examination

What is the interview useful for ?
A
- The exminer explains the nature and substance of the examination
- He learns what the patient expects
- History of the problems
- Check if there are problems that cause hinder examination
- Other : reassurance of confidentiality, patient’s life habits, payment issues, answer questions

What is assessed in the test part and how ?
A
- The objective is to obtain an overview of the patient’s cognitive status for each major faculty

A
- the patient’s condition (tired, pain)
