6.1 & 6.2 Flashcards
eukorayte compared to prokaryote
bigger, more complex, more functions, slower process
all cells description
all waste goes through cell membranes, DNA can copy itself, proteins need to move nutrients, join ribosome, versicle takes to Golgi
eukaryote animal functions
lysomones break down waste, the nucleus makes DNA, which just controls what goes in and out, gets energy from fuel molecules
plant information
valcoue breaks down waste, and structural support, and gets energy from chloroplasts
bacteria information
enzymes break down waste, have no nucleus for DNA, can have 1-2 layers, get energy from sunlight,
glycolipids/glycoproteins
Cell-to-cell recognition- the ability of 1 cell to distinguish 1 cell from another
cell adhesion
holds all cells together
transporter
channel controls what goes in and out
