6- Graphing Flashcards
Bar Graph
A visual interpretation of data where the observed values are summarized.
aka Histogram
Cumulative record
Never Decreases
A type of graph where the cumulative number of responses emitted is represented on a vertical axis, where the steeper the slope the greater the response rate.
Cumulative recorder
A device that automatically draws cumulative records, which shows the rate of response in real time.
Data
The results of measurement.
Data Path
The trend or path of the data, created by drawing straight lines between each successive data point.
Dependent Variable
The Behavior
The measured change/behavior in an experiment, when the independent variable is manipulated.
DTT
Discrete Trial Training
Lovas- Very Controlled
Equal Interval Scale
Where data is divided equally along the y-axis.
Graph
A visual representation of data.
Independent Variable
The variable that is manipulated or the intervention.
Level
High moderate or low level on the y axis, to compare where most data points are.
Line Graph
A visual interpretation of data where data points are connected with straight lines.
Local Response Rate
One time frame.
Overall response rate
All of the data.
Precision Teaching
An instructional approach that involves
(a) pinpointing the skills to be learned
(b) measuring the initial frequency or rate
(c) defining the desired goal
(d) using direct, daily measurement to monitor progress made
(e) charting the results on a Standard Celeration Chart; and
(f) changing the program as needed.
