What is 5s
It is a quality technique that is based on order, cleanliness and habits to achieve productivity in factories and workplaces.
Why is order important
Disorder in the way of life, generates disorder in the way of thinking and focusing life.
5s Objective
Organization, order and permanent cleaning looking for productivity and good work environment
Seiri - Sort
Removing all the items that are not necessary from our work area.
Seiton - Straighten/Set in order
To order the necessary articles for our work, establishing a specific place for each thing, in order to facilitate its identification, location, disposition and return to the place of origin, after being used.
Seiso - Shine
Remove the dirtiness
The cleanest place is not the one that cleans up the longest but the one that gets the least dirty.
Planning
Seiketsu - Standardize
It is to ensure that procedures, practices and activities are carried out consciously and regularly to ensure that selection, organization and cleanliness are maintained in the work areas.
