motivation concerned with desire to do things. Manager wants employees to be motivated to do things that’ll achieve business objectives.
Motivation strategies e.g., performance related pay, career advancement, investment in training
- Change in management style / management skill’s
change in management style / skill of manager can positively impact employee motivation / performance improving business ability to meet objective.
Styles e.g., autocratic, persuasive, consultative, participative, laissez-faire Skill e.g. communicating, delegating, planning, leading, decision-making
- Cost cutting
process of reducing expenses therefore improve net profit figures. If cost saving translates to cheaper prices for customers, it can lead to increased number of sales and increase percentage of market share.
