Q

How would denaturing of the active site affect the function of an enzyme?

A

Active site will change shape and the enzyme then would not be able to bind.

Q

What is an induced fit model?

A

3-D structure of enzyme that fits substrate. Substrate binding causes enzyme to change shape. Positions substrate so that less activation energy is required.
