personal information and medical records must be kept secure and information should on be shared on a need-to-know basis. e.g., meetings about the service user must take place in private so nobody can overhear
what right does protection from abuse and harm give you
every care setting should have policies and procedures in place to help protect the service user and providers who uses true services provided. e.g., users with dementia, learning disabilities and children are more at risk
what rights does consultation give you
important that service users are asked for their opinions and views (about the type of fare they would like)which should be taken into account as much as possible when planning and providing care
