Image of God
Belief that humans are in the image of God in their moral, spiritual and intellectual nature
Sanctity of life
All life is holy as it is created and loved by God; human life should not be misused or abused
Transcendent
Idea that God is above and outside life on Earth
Omnipotent
Almighty, having unlimited power
Imago dei
Means image of god. It is the latin term to show that God made humans in his image and kindness
Dignity
Because everyone was made in God image with love and kindness, everyone should be treated with respect and not mistreated, this is dignity
Free will
Idea that God gave us freedom to make our own decisions and be free. This also means there is an existance of evil as some choose to misuse their free will
Stewardship
Idea that everything made by God in the environment so we should treat everything with respect in order to show respect for God
Literal interpretation of Genesis
The literal interpretation of Geneisis 1 and 2 is that God created the world in 6 days and rested for 1 and that God created Adam and eve
Non literal interpretation of the genesis stories
The creation stories were myths or that it is true but done over a period of time by God, but the main idea of the genesis is the same, God created the world
Natural law
Moral principles and values that are considered to be inherent to all humans
Omniscent
Quality of God stating that he has all knowledge of thw world
How does natural law link to the belief about humans
Because all humans are created in the image and likeness of God. Humans should have an instincitive knowledge of what is good and fully human

3 beliefs expressed by michelangelo’s creation of Adam
God is powerful, God is from heaven as he is sitting on angels, God has wisdom which we can see from the grey beard, Adam is depicted as lifeless and weak (small penis),, God is superior to Adam as he is positioned above him
2 critisms about Michelangelo’s creation of Adam
It is not what the Bible says as the Bible states God breathed life into Adam and we don’t actually know whay God looks likkeand it is a stereotypical view of God
3 beliefs the ‘hand of God’ expresses
Shows god is omnipotant, shows God has made the sun and light comes from his hand,
Only critism of hand of God
Stereotypical as the hand is white and we don’t know what race God was
Why should we perform stewardship?
Because God made this world and the environment with love and blessed everything we created,. So in order to show thanks to God, we should treat what he created with care and respect just how we would treat God
Ways to perform stewardship
Picking up litter, keeping the world a clean place, use an electric car, encourage others to become sustainable …
What is sustainability
To only use resources at a rate at which they can be replaced

Encouragine people in England and Wales to live more simply., supportingand setting up projects which recognises that humans, resources and the environment are all important and working with other organisations to ensure that sustainability is one of the leading approaches
