Storage
Bio-waste shall be stored in the bay area, away from public view. Storage of bio- waste in living areas is not allowed.
The procedure for storing bio-hazardous waste at the station shall be as follows:
1. Contaminated materials are to be properly bagged and sealed in the red bio-waste bags, sharps shall be placed in red sharps ____.
• Sharps boxes must be sealed with an “X” of tape, sealing the top to the box
2. Red bio-waste bags and sharps boxes shall then be labeled with the ___ ___ generating the waste and the date the waste was ___ for disposal.
3. Red bio-waste bags and sharps boxes shall then be placed in a large ,red bio-waste bag inside the ___ ___ at the station.
