Autotroph
Organism that captures energy and uses it to produce their own food; called a producer

Process where chemical energy is used to create glucose as food

Organism that obtains its food by consuming other organisms; consumer

Organism that uses other organisms for its food supply; heterotroph
Detritus
Material used for food made up from decaying organic matter from either a plant or animal
