Q

Use an example of a die to show the Addition Law

A

Die Event A: even number rolled
Event B: odd number rolled

Outcomes:
Event A = {2,4,6} = 3 outcomes
Event B = {1,3,5} = 3 outcomes
Event A OR B = {1,2,3,4,5,6) = 6 outcomes

Probabilities:
Event A = 3/6 or 1/2
Event B = 3/6 or 1/2
Event A or B = 6/6 or 1
